Magnalium powder (an alloy of Aluminum and Magnesium) is used in the flux coating of welding electrodes as a deoxidizer and alloying agent to enhance weld deposit strength and corrosion resistance. Acts as a deoxidizer and alloy agent in coating flux. Typically 50:50 or 60:40 Magnesium-Aluminium ratios. Available in granular, coated, and uncoated forms (e.g., 50 mesh, 250-300 mesh).
