Iron Powder

Iron powder is a critical, high-purity additive often >60% in coating formulations used in welding electrodes and flux-cored wires to significantly increase deposition rates and efficiency. Primarily Atomized Iron Powder (for high purity/stability) and Reduced Iron Powder (common in coatings and flux-cored wires). Low impurities, specific mesh size, and high quality are critical for performance, with types like 40.29 often used.
